For a youth league baseball coach, what could be worse than going 0-15? Ask Rodney Carroll.
Soon after Carroll guided the Brunswick (Ohio) Cobras to a winless season in 1999, a summons arrived, informing him that he was being sued for $2,000 by the father of his catcher.
The complaint? Poor coaching. Carroll's incompetence, the lawsuit claimed, cost the team a trip to a tournament in Florida.
"I didn't understand it," says Carroll, 43, a street-maintenance worker who had volunteered for two years. "I wanted to be a coach just to help kids."

A California man is suing the Las Vegas Hilton and Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino, claiming the casinos were negligent in allowing him to gamble away more than $1 million while he was intoxicated. According to the lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court, executives of the Las Vegas Hilton and Mandalay Bay supposedly knew Stephen Roel was drunk and yet extended him hundreds of thousands of dollars in credit anyway.

A West Virginia convenience store worker was awarded a whopping $2,699,000 in punitive damages after she injured her back opening a pickle jar, this according to a report in the Charleston Daily Mail.
The 'injured' worker also received $130,066 in compensation and $170,000 for emotional distress.
A State Supreme Court Justice, Spike Maynard, called this award an "outrageous sum." In his dissenting opinion, he wrote, "I know an excessive punitive damages award when I see one, and I see one here."
The court, however, upheld most of the punitive damages. Net result: $2.2 million.

Lehigh University Professor Michael Behe was the first witness called by a school board that is requiring students to hear a statement about the intelligent design concept in biology class. Lawyers for the Dover Area School Board began presenting their case Monday in the landmark federal trial, which could decide whether it can be mentioned in public school science classes as an alternative to the theory of evolution.

Evolution is dead wrong
What exactly does the theory of evolution state? The theory (always say theory because that’s all it is, they can't prove it and never will) of evolution states that:
1 All life forms (species) have developed from other species.
2 All living things are related to one another to varying degrees through common decent (share common ancestors).
3 All life on Earth has a common origin. In other words, that in the distant past, there once existed an original life form and that this life form gave rise to all subsequent life forms.
4 The process by which one species evolves into another involves random heritable genetic mutations (changes), some of which are more likely to spread and persist in a gene pool than others. Mutations that result in a survival advantage for organisms that possess them, are more likely to spread and persist than mutations that do not result in a survival advantage and/or that result in a survival disadvantage.
Alright let’s take this apart one thing at a time:
(1) ALL life forms (species) have developed from other species. Ok where are the missing links. There are all these animals and not a single link between any of them and no bones. Wow how amazing! Now that takes faith.
2 All living things are related to one another to varying degrees through common decent (share common ancestors). Who wants to be kin to an ape anyway, but even if you do, then is murder wrong? Well if we all came from the same species then it is no more wrong for me to kill you than it is for me to chop down a tree, or step on an ant.

In English all that means is things mutate. All I say to that is why don’t they happen now? I mean sure things "evolve". Kids grow up, tree leaves change color, kittens turn to cats, puppies turn into dogs but dogs don’t turn into cats and kids don’t turn into trees, Come on now use common since.

The earth is about six thousand years, old not billions of years! Here is what it comes down to though. The truth is that God created everything, the reason you don’t believe in creation is because you don’t want to believe there is a creator.

Remember if there is no God than what’s right is up to each one of us. If there is no God we don’t need laws, because what’s right and wrong is left up to the individual.

No matter what I say you will still believe what you believe and no matter what you say I will still believe what I believe. Just remember if you believe that there is no God then you have no right to impose anything you believe on anyone, including you morals of murder, rape, theft… That my friend would scare me!

Gay Marriage

For centuries, marriage has been defined as a union between one man and one woman.
Efforts are underway across America to redefine marriage to include same-sex couples. It is clear that courts and political leaders are engaging in an aggressive campaign to alter marriage. The battle to redefine marriage is being waged in both the political and legal arenas.
It is also clear that most Americans do not favor redefining marriage to include same-sex couples. Over 250,000 have signed a petition and there are more in support to keep marriage between one man and one woman that have not signed on yet.
The ACLJ is one of many groups working to ensure that marriage remains to be between one man and one woman and is not redefined to include anything more than a union between one man and one woman. The ACLJ has taking necessary action - including the support of a federal marriage amendment - to safeguard an institution that has served as the foundation for the American family. – The ACLJ

What I believe is going to happen is; gay's are going to go to states that have made gay marriage legal, get married, and go back to the state that they live in. Then the state will not recognize it and then the gays will take legal action against the state. From there it will most likely go to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court will either make it illegal or legal in all 50 states.

Already there have been 2 men that went to Massachusetts and got married went back to Alabama, where they live, and are wanting to be recognize in Alabama. The same thing happened in Florida so what I said in the last paragraph is already starting. The ACLJ thinks that within one week over 12 states will have gays going back to there state wanting recognition.

This is wrong! What’s next polygamy or will we be making it legal marring animals? If marriage can be perverted like this then why not polygamy, or animals? You say yeah right but 50 years ago they said yeah right about gays being able to be married.

Ho Ho Ho Merry ...

Wow, did you know that it is now politically incorrect to say 'Merry Christmas'? Now we are suppose to say happy holidays. You know it is really sad when you can't even recognize a specific holiday. More than that one that was made to celebrates the birth of our savior Jesus Christ.
Last in Denver Colorado a church was not allowed to enter a float into the parade just because it had a manger scene and played Christmas music! If Christmas can not be publicly celebrated (in a Christmas parade) then what freedoms do we really have? Freedom of religion is the first of the bill of rights! Not freedom from religion. How long will we, the people, allow this sort of stuff to go on? We have the power to stop this kind of thing from happening. I encourage you to think twice about how it is you check on that voters card. If you don’t vote, then don't blame anyone but yourself when things politically go down the drain. So next time you hear happy holidays be sure to thank our government for saying it is 'politically incorrect' to say Merry Christmas. Who knows the next thing they may do is say it is, "saying Merry Christmas is unconstitutional."

Milk it does a body good, or does it?

Hey guys you need a good laugh? Get this. Ten people from the Washington area have filed a class-action lawsuit against milk suppliers and the stores that sell milk. Why? Because they want the label to have a warning of the effects of lactose intolerance! The ten people say they have "suffered" from diarrhea, cramps and gas because they consumed milk. Hey I say if you can’t drink milk 'cause your body can't digest lactose (the sugar in milk) that stinks, but why is it the milks fault, or the people that produce the milk?
The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine is funding the lawsuit. The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine actually went out to and recruited people to file the suit. One of the ten people plaintiffs is seven years old. Now that’s teaching them well at a young age! That kid is still at the age when having gas is funny not something you file a lawsuit over, come on! I understand being lactose intolerance isn't fun but neither are any other health complications. Filing a suit isn't going to help you digest milk so why do it. These people may not have thought of this but I have an idea DON'T DRINK THE MILK!!! Hey milk has done my body good! Ha-ha!
I just want to know what’s next is someone one going to file a suit against lawnmower suppliers, for the effects of allergies? Hey I sneeze my head off every time I mow my lawn, I don’t need some label to tell my that! I think they just need to not drink the milk and leave it alone.
